Infant and Young Toddler Class 1 classroom
The infant and young toddler class has been developed for children ages 6 months to 17 months. The program is designed to response to the infant's need for stimulation, consistency and familiarity, which grows into trust between child and adult.
Cognitive, motor and sensory activities are part of the prepared environment, as are language, social and practical life activities. These are developed and adjusted to meet the needs of the developing and changing infant. With a maximum group of 8 children and 2 teachers/caregivers, the focus is on providing a warm and nurturing environment for our youngest students. Daily communication with parents and parent involvement is a crucial part of the program.
