CACC Montessori Staff
We have 23 staff members
The majority of whom have been with us between 3-15+ years. All staff members are required to take at lest 18 credit hours annually in continued self-improvement.
Administration
The school is run by the school administrator with assistance from the Administrative Assistant. There are monthly meetings with the CACC Child Care Committee who in turn meets and communicates with the CACC Board of Directors.
Elizabeth Simon Administrator
A resident of Pennsylvania, this is Elizabeth's 12th year with our school. Raised in Montreal, Canada, she received her undergraduate degree in History and Art from Sir George Williams University and studied piano at McGill University Conservatory of Music. After moving to New England she did both graduate work in History and Anthropology/Archeology and then earned her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology. She's worked for both private and public schools as a teacher and counselor (K - grade 12) and as an administrator of several early childhood programs. In her spare time she pursues her interests in dressage, sculpture, figure skating and collecting antiques. She is the mother of one daughter, who attends Ursuline Academy.
Pat Weldon Director of Montessori Education
This is Pat's 39th year with our school. She attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated cum laude from Bucknell University with a B.A. in Biology. Pat completed her Montessori training for ages 3-6 at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and also from St. Nicholas at Widener University. In addition, she holds AMS certificates in Reading, Grammar, and Geography. Pat has teaching experience at all age levels. She has taught fifth grade, Geography at the eighth grade level, and English and Science in high school. An active member of the American Montessori Society, Pat has been an official AMS representative at several national seminars. She is a member of the AMS Teacher's Section.
